NEML #3: Results

Last week saw the Williston Math Team put its full weight against the third round of the New England Math League’s ’14-’15 competition!

22 students participated in the first round of the New England Math League, with participants spanning all 7 grades: 7th through PG! Each competitor had 30 minutes to work by themselves on the same 6 questions. Each question was worth one point and calculators could be used.

Our team score is made up of the sum of the top 5 scores… and we put up a solid 21.

Our average score per participant was 2.57.

Complete leagues results (updated through the first two rounds) can be found right here (PDF). Our score of 52 after the first two rounds puts us at tied for 30th out of 143 teams in New England, and 15th out of 76 teams in MA!

Of particular note is Jack Lee whose combined score of 11 puts him at 26th out of ALL New England competitors!

The next NEML competition will be held on Tuesday, January 13th at 3pm in Schoolhouse 27. Anyone is welcome to participate!
