NEML #2: Results

We had another great showing in the New England Math League!

28 students participated in the second round of the New England Math League, with participants spanning all 6 grades! Each competitor had 30 minutes to work by themselves on the same 6 questions. Each question was worth one point and calculators could be used.

Our team score is made up of the sum of the top 5 scores… and we did very well, scoring a 25!

Our average score per participant was 3.46.

The next NEML competition will be held on Tuesday, December 9th at 3pm in Schoolhouse 27.

NEML #2: Tuesday 11/11!

NEML-logoThe next New England Math League competition will be on Tuesday, 11/11 from 3 to 3:30pm in Schoolhouse 27. Anyone at any level of mathematics study is highly encouraged to attend!

You can actually start the competition any time between 2:35 and 3pm by coming by Schoolhouse 25.

Each participant has 30 minutes to complete 6 questions on their own. You may use a calculator.

Right now we are ranked 32nd out of 143 schools in New England, and 15th out of 76 school in MA. You can check out a detailed breakdown of the standings right here.

NEML 1 Regional Results

NEML-logoThe regional results for the first round of the New England Math League have been posted (PDF).

With our score of 27 out of 30, we ended up tied for 32nd out of 143 schools in all of New England, and 15th out of 76 schools in MA! Congratulations again to our two students who scored a perfect 6/6, Alex Li and Jack Lee!

The next NEML competition will be held on Tuesday, 11/11 from 3 to 3:30pm in Schoolhouse 27. Everyone is welcome to participate! Refreshments will be served after the competition.

NEML #1

The first New England Math League Competition will take place on Tuesday, 10/14 starting at 3pm sharp in Schoolhouse 27. The competition will last 30 minutes and involves each student working by themselves on 6 questions.

Anyone is welcome to participate, especially non-Math Team members! Refreshments will be served!
