The 6th and last (!) round of the New England Math League will be held on Tuesday, 3/21 from 2:30 to 3:30 in Schoolhouse 25. The competition lasts 30 minutes and you must begin before 3:10. You may use a calculator and any student at any level of math is welcome to participate! Just show up! No signup required!
12 Williston Mathletes will be heading to Yale on Saturday, 4/1 to participate in the MMATHs competition! The two Williston teams of 6 will compete in individual and team rounds, as well as a round where they will work collaboratively with students from other schools!
Yesterday, on February 28th, 5 Williston Middle School students participated in the 7th and 8th grade level of the New England Math League! This is the first time the competition has run at Williston! Congratulations to these middle school mathlete pioneers!
Back on February, 15th, 28 Williston students participated in the AMC10/12 math competition! Students scores will be known in a few weeks! AIME here we come!

Steven Wang is currently tied for 5th place our of all 800+ individual competitors!
The league results were just updated to include round 4 of the New England Math League and with our running score of 95 we are holding strong at 28th out of 125 teams!

It’s a busy time of year for the Williston Math Team!
The next round of the New England Math League (#3) will take place on Tuesday, December 13th from 2:35 to 3:35pm in Schoolhouse 25. Anyone at any level of math is encouraged to participate! No signup is required. Just show up any time before 3:05 with a pencil and a calculator. The competition takes 30 minutes.
Here’s what we’ve been up to:
On Saturday, 11/12, eleven members of the Williston Math Team traveled to Harvard to compete in the Harvard-MIT Math Tournament!
There were over 800 competitors in attendance on 147 teams from around the world! We competed as two teams (Williston X and Y) and scored quite well! Williston X finished in 68th place and Williston Y finished 121st!
We got a great start out of the gate with 27 Williston students sitting for the first round of the New England Math League competition! We ended up with a strong team score of 24, placing us 30th out of 119 teams!
NEML2 will take place on Tuesday, 11/15 from 2:30 to 3:30pm in SH25. Anyone at ANY level of math is encouraged to participate! The contest lasts 30 minutes and you must begin by 3:05. You can use a calculator. No sign up required!
The AMC8 competition will take place on Tuesday, 11/15 from 3 to 4pm in the Middle School and is open to any student in 7th or 8th grade. Complete competition details are below as well as the sign up form.

On the first day back from break 14 students sat for the last round of the New England Math League, earning a strong team score of 22! That brings out ’15-’16 overall score to a fantastic 134! Great job everyone!
